Dead leaves on my chinese evergreen, is this normal?? I got her a month ago and water it once a week. She lives outdoors on an east-facing patio that gets direct sunlight from about 9am-2pm. Outside temps have been around 85 degrees (florida). The plant seems to be doing well besides these couple of leaves. Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated! :) 🪴💚

Does it get any air flow in that pot? Looks like a self watering one?

It is in a self watering pot, however I don't fill it because I'm afraid it'll be overwatered. It simply came in this pot and I haven't repotted it yet. Should I look into a pot with air flow?

I would. It would probably improve with new soil and some air flow. You’ll water it more often as it gets hot, but overall it should be healthier

it looks sunburned. try indirect sunlight and see if that helps
