# Oh no just found these little white pests crawling on the leaves of…

_Publicado por Kirsten el 2024-08-31_

Oh no just found these little white pests crawling on the leaves of my plant (the plant is attached it to this post)!! 😖I don’t know if there’s any webbing or if they seem to be crawling on the little fuzziness that is on the leaves. I don’t think my pictures did the critters justice but does anyone know what they might be?? Might first thought is to wipe neem oil on the leaves. Would that kill pests on leaves?

Most likely some sort of spider mite, seems like they’ve been there a while by the looking at their numbers, is there no damage at all?

The only damage I noticed recently was a few pale spots

That doesn’t really look like spider mite damage, spider mite damage is like a bunch of little yellow dots so I’m not sure if they are harmful as there can be beneficial spider mites which eat thrips and even the “bad” spider mites however I would still wipe them off

I just sprayed the leaves with insecticidal soap. Any other suggestions? I’ve only ever dealt with fungus gnats so this is new to me

move this away from your other plants and keep treating every couple of days until they’re gone. if this is spidermites (i think it is, their damage isn’t limited to the dots Soup mentioned) know that they lay eggs inder the surface of the leaves so you’ll want to keep treating until you stop seeing them

I have isolated the plant in my spare room I don’t really use. I sprayed insecticidal soap on top and bottoms of leaves. I see less of them moving now but still saw one real quick. Do I keep using this spray or should I use neem oil or anything else? Should I only spray once a day or can I attack as many times as I want? Lol

I would treat every other day until you stop seeing them — keep using what you’ve got, it should do the trick you just have to stay consistent
