# Does anyone know what these scuffs could be? Humidity? Transplant?…

Does anyone know what these scuffs could be? Humidity? Transplant? Too much light?  
I had a hard time with this El Choco Red. It arrived in a bad condition and had so many long mature leaves but it was very root bound so I repotted it months ago, but lost all its 5-6 leaves at the time. I then discovered a swamp of little critters in its new soil (fungus gnats, spider mites and springtails) and immediately took it out, chopped the long chonk to propagate and added the only leaf standing in water, then transferred to semi-hydro once grew some roots. Popped a new leaf in water but smaller size, and now it’s working on a new leaf.  
Is it fair to say this plant has been through a lot or could I improve its conditions and environment to avoid these leaf scuffs.
