I hadn’t either until this past week at work. I’m a social worker and did not realize how many of us at work love and require them around us. Anyway, two of our plant doctors told me to do this with one of mine and within 30 min the difference was noticeable. Also she said the water was too acidic. I hope it helps

Just water it and trim off the brown bits. That's all you can do since the cause was dehydration.

So i tried it and let it sit for a day and it seems to have gotten worse… i cut off all the dead leaves but the stem keeps getting more brown. So i would say it doesnt work

I personally wouldn't use sugar. In any media, water or soil or pon It can increase bad bacteria growth as well as mess with the plants water uptake. The theory is that it will give the plant energy, and that's just not the case. You'd be better just offering a diluted fertilizer that won't cause bacteria growth, attract bugs, or cause kill the plant if it harms it's natural guttation and transpiration

In the sugar method. I should have stated that it should only be done truly if growing in water.
