It looks green, so I would say it is alive. I have one and have wondered the same thing, but mine looks more brown. .

The curling suggested a problem though. Perhaps light and/or humidity?

I follow Sam on instagram. @houseplusplant she’s got tons of info. I like her a lot. And she just did one on Norfolk Pine piece on her Instagram that might be helpful for you. Because I was actually thinking about getting this plant.

I was just thinking about getting one, until I read about their needs. I don’t need another high maintenance plant. They need lots of direct sun plus high humidity.
