# An update on my Christmas cactus: The one in the black pot ended up…

An update on my Christmas cactus:

The one in the black pot ended up dying off, but when I went downstairs to water some other plants earlier I accidentally snapped some branches off of my grandma’s giant plants so I’ve packed them into a pot to try again.

I dutifully neglected the red pot, and she rewarded me with a bud! Hopefully I get a couple more, but if not I’ll be content just knowing she’s happy.

Well I see this is a very old post but I just wanted to throw this out there. When trying to propagate these plants you need to leave the at ma out of soil and leave in a dark area for like ten days to two weeks then put it in soil or root
