# To all ZZ parents: I’ve had my ZZ for longer than I can remember and…

To all ZZ parents:  
I’ve had my ZZ for longer than I can remember and it was pushing out a lot of new growth recently. However, all the new stems have 2-4 leaves MAXIMUM. When I see other ZZs, they all have like 10+ leaves per stem! What have I been doing wrong? I repotted it just yesterday also because it was very root-bound so hopefully that might help.
