# I got my venus fly trap about 3 weeks ago. It’s doing well overall,…

I got my venus fly trap about 3 weeks ago. It’s doing well overall, but last night I noticed little black bugs crawling around. There’s none flying, just crawling around the plant. They are do small I couldn’t get a pic but here’s a pic of my plant m. Any advice appreciated :)

You should go on the internet and look up images of plant pests to help you identify what you have. Try looking up Springtails, which are good bugs, and thrips, which are horrible bugs.

Thank you! I did that and they are spider mites :(

Make sure you water with rain water only and do not feed!!!

Just for future don’t let the flowers grow, they start like stalks. They take all the energy and kill off your plant.
