Is it normal for my orchid to have its older leaf yellow and get kinda wrinkly? I couldn’t remember if my older leaf did this last year, but is it usual for this to happen?

i have an orchid that loses a leaf a year just about. As long as a new leaf is growing in its place no big deal. I would cut it off for sure. Couldn’t hurt to give the roots a peek. If it’s in soil I would get it out and put it in a chunky fir back and sphagnum moss mix

Right now it’s growing a new leaf spike right above the leaf that is yellowing

Normal! Mine is pretty much always putting out a leaf and always has one starting to get wrinkly. I just leave it until it’s actually dies
