Hope everyone is doing well.

Is my Rattlesnake plant doing ok with the brown spots and edges? Will they turn back to their normal selves or would I need to cut them off? 😕

They will not turn back. I wouldn’t cut them- that might introduce potential infection vectors. Just leave them and focus on the actual cause so new growth will not have the same issues.

Thank you! I appreciate it

Hello! Mine is doing the same. What are the causes of this happening?

I agree with Victoria - maybe a pebble tray would work. The best solution would be to increase humidity in the entire room with a humidifier.

Most likely lack of humidity

I keep about 1/4” of water in them, but below the top of the pebbles because you don’t want the water to creep up into the bottom drainage holes of your pots. Helps a lot.

Distilled water. I go thru a 1.5 gallons a week… not counting actual watering and fertilizing.

She’ll be fine and the unsightly leaves will eventually be a thing of the past.

Depending on where you live, but many areas are into the rainy spring season. So humidity may not be the case. As someone said it could be your local tap water is not appreciated by your Rattlesnake. RO water or distilled water is best. You could also try filtered water. Not bottled spring water. It has minerals in it. So leaving tap water sit overnight does not work either. There are some aquarium supplements people have found to work. This is not personal experience because I have an RO system and use that for all my plants.

Do you add fertilizer to the RO water?

#### Phil svarte den 2025-05-30

Yes. I just follow the app to fertilize.
