# Anyone have any tips or tricks for an elephant ear with a dry leaf?…

Anyone have any tips or tricks for an elephant ear with a dry leaf?

It’s been a rough road with my black magic elephant ear but so far she grew a single new leaf and has one on the way but now it’s super dry and was cracking.

I misted her, am getting a humidifier for her, and also just cleaned her leaves from all the water stains and trimmed some of the damage…

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

I also posted this in anything about plants but thought I should post here as well!

See if the soil is dry. Water if it is. Idk much abt elephant ears, but maybe trim the leaf and let the new one grow?

I’m debating that one, it’s been a long road for this lady… :/

You are on the right track with getting a humidifier. Get a room size humidifier not a little tiny “personal” device. The small ones don’t put out enough moisture.

Good to know. Thank you!

You shouldn't cut the leaf damage, make sure your not over watering or not watering enough definitely check the soil and make sure it's getting accurate sun time

You never want to cut into your elephant ear leaves
