What can I do for my pothos?? I only water it like every two weeks, i always have and it’s never been an issue. my other pothos are just fine on this watering schedule also. i’ve had this one the longest. recently the leaves have been yellowing slightly. i did light research and decided it needed some plant food. i bought some and gave each plant the recommended amount. after giving the food, the leaves on this plant seem to have gotten more yellow, and more leaves have yellowed. i don’t want her to die so anything advice helps!!!

How long have you had it? It might be time to repot it? Check under the pot to see if you can see any roots coming out the bottom. If so, when you go to repot it, look for any signs of rotting roots. Just need to make sure it hasn’t been overwatered or sitting in too much water, etc!

I have many pothos and I’ve learned from experience as well but always check the soil and even the bottom of the soil in case there is remaining water because then on watering day it drowns and they are sensitive to water they like to be more desert dry before watering and make sure the roots are able to air out. I have had some in my room where it doesn’t get enough air flow and it ends up root rotting :)
Pothos are forgiving so don’t fret!!!:)

I would remove the yellow leaves and not water again until it is dry. And if you add the food to water, add it in place of the watering for that period. I also keep my pothos in indirect sunlight.

This is because of root rot! Repot this pothos soon!!!!! Every nine days a pothos should be watered. When the soil has dried halfway through the pot that’s when you know it’s good to give more water.

yellowing lower leaves aren’t always from root rot. i also really wouldn’t recommend watering your plant on a schedule, plants change how much water they use daily based on a number of factors such as temperature, humidity, airflow, lighting, season, pot size, soil/soilless media, and growth/dormancy. watering your plant on a schedule can mean you water too soon or too late, causing overwatering or underwatering symptoms.

looks like your plant might be pot bound, i would suggest taking it out of the pot to check the root system, if you see more roots than soil, it needs more room to grow. make sure to remove any black/brown and mushy roots that you see as those are rotten and the disease can spread and kill your plant if the infected tissue is not removed.
