Having trouble with my white fern. Got it about a month ago and every couple of days it looks like it’s wilting. I have rocks at the bottom of the pot for drainage but only give it a little bit of water at a time. Any ideas?

Typically you would not want to have rocks in the bottom of the pot. I personally would recommend repotting in a pot with actual drainage holes and watering completely until the water runs out of the bottom to flush out chemicals. You can also bottom water if you prefer. If you like your pot you can find an insert with drainage and take it out to water it.

Thank you! Should I be worried about over watering when I replant? Will watering stress the plant if I do it right away to get the chemicals out?

I usually water my plants when I repot them, but use your judgement if you think the soil is too wet to water.

I don’t have any tips as I’ve never had this plant, but I believe it’s actually in the selaginella genus, meaning it is not a fern. The care may have not been appropriate for the plant. This genus is also referred to as spike mosses. Doing some research about this genus may help you figure out how to help your plant though.

Thank you! I will look into that
