# Will my fern recover? I can’t figure out if she needs more or less…

Will my fern recover? I can’t figure out if she needs more or less light. She was struggling outside, then struggling in a darker bathroom, and recently I’ve brought her into the kitchen for a little more sun. The first picture is current. The second picture is in the bathroom where she had a little bit of green left but she eventually turned completely brown in the bathroom.

I’m not sure what kind of fern she is 🥲

Have you checked the roots? She does look pretty toasty.

I thought her roots were okay but after a google rabbit hole.. she may have root rot 🥲

Might have to cut all the way down and let the new growth come in if the roots are still healthy! If it happens to have root rot you can cut the root rot off !
