# Any clues why my calathea has some random holes? I used Neem oil two…

Any clues why my calathea has some random holes? I used Neem oil two weeks ago.

Did you let it fully dry before it had light again, as can heat up and cause burn , also was it a very small amount added to a lot of water as too strong can also cause issue

I just spayed it all over. Not too much and then let it sit in the shade then wiped the leaves down

Neem oil probably not cause then, how close to a sunny window is it, looks like light hits that bit the most, looks like all other leaves are healthy so don’t think it’s pests or root rot as you’d normally see , yellow browning around outside first, is that a few little marks going from left to right just above hole.

This is how it looks overall. Some leaves have the holes but it's not extensive.
