Hello guys. I have this Christmas cactus that I rescued, it was so dry the dirt couldn’t get a knife through it. I soaked it, saved it, and it’s perked up, grown some babies and got back lots of green. However, when I found it the drought had left its leaves almost completely purple. They are much better now, but it’s been six months and the purple is still there. What’s up?

I think the purple is from sunstress. Totally normal!

Once leaves turn a different color they won’t ever return to the first color. HOWEVER, because you are a caring human and take such good care of this zygocactus the new growth will be the original colors.
