Weed management in boxwood/flowerbeds. Is there a best practice to eliminate or keep weeds at bay in a 2-ft mulched perimeter around the house where there are an assortment of trees (birch, paperbark copper maple), bushes (boxwoods) and flowers (hydrangeas, anemones)? I have heard of preen, is this the best choice if so during which tome of the year is it best to apply? Other better choices? From a newbie gardener, hank you in advance for your selflessly sharing what you have learned.
