# Why is she sagging like this??? She’s under a grow light 16 hours per…

Why is she sagging like this???  
She’s under a grow light 16 hours per day, there’s a humidifier in the room, I water every few days and they’re in Perlite. What am I doing wrong??

Hi! So, I haven’t delved into the world of Alocasia myself but from the plethora of videos I’ve watched, a lady that grows them and even pollinates different ones together, she grows all of hers in semi hydroponics, and keeps the reservoir for it filled at all times, seems like they are a bit of a drama plant and never like it fully dry out or be in soggy soil. My suggestion would be to try that medium and see how it goes and also take a look at the roots during that process and chop any ones that look squishy or dried out depending on what the problem is
