# Hello! I have had this plant for two years now and these little pink…

_Posted by Emily on 2024-10-25_

Hello! I have had this plant for two years now and these little pink strings started showing up on the stems recently. After a quick google search I think they are aerial roots, but would love others opinions. Is there anything I need to be doing about them or be doing something differently in taking care of my plant? Would appreciate any and all insights and advice!

Sure are! You can leave them, trim them, or cut the stem and propagate with the aerial roots

You don’t need to do anything differently though!

There are in fact roots. It’s normal to see that on a plant, it’s their natural way of asking to be propagated. 😊

They’re roots! As others have said, you can cut them or propagate them. It’s another way of your plant showing that it’s healthy and strong!
