# Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do with this potted…

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do with this potted plant assortment? I took it home from my husband’s aunt’s funeral, and even though it was in the warm car for the 9 hr drive home, the extreme cold this weekend seems to have shocked the peace lily. The soil is still moist so I took it into one of the warmer rooms in my house where there is a humidifier running. How soon should I try to separate the other little plants like the parlor palm \& such from the peace lily? Thanks in advance!

Most people recommend diving them up and having all 5 plants separate

I would give it probably about 2 weeks just to get used to the move

It's a beautiful little planter but I agree with Gena. Maybe wait a couple months for spring when the growing season arrives and then divide the entire thing up putting each plant in its own pot. If there are plants with very similar growing preferences you could keep them together but I would separate them all.

Be very careful with your watering. Sometimes these basket planters don't have drainage. They're just lined with plastic. This becomes an issue I would divide right away rather than waiting for spring. By then it could have root rot if it's accumulating moisture in the bottom of the basket.
