# How to work out what is causing my monstera’s new leaves to come out…

How to work out what is causing my monstera’s new leaves to come out with brown spots? I looked online and got a range of answers including over or under watering, too little or too much light and pests. There are no signs of any pests so I think I can rule that out. The advice out there is so contradictory!

sounds like it might be a good idea to repot. check for root rot and use all fresh soil

Repotted her but there was no sign of root rot anywhere. I’ll have to try moving her to a sunnier spot and misting a bit more often I guess.

you could try a moss pole! one that you stuff yourself with sphagnum moss.
