What is the fastest way to get rid of fungus gnats?? I have sticky traps set up and I have been watering plants with mosquito stuff but they don’t seem to be going away 😭

Get carnivorous plants! Nepenthes or Pinguicula. The solution is always more plants. 🤪

When I was younger my mom used to take empty flower vases and fill them with a mixture of dish soap, apple cider vinegar and water and place them in the kitchen and around the house plants when we had gnats in the spring.

If you notice them on your plants in large amounts, your best bet is to get rid of the soil they are in, clean up the plants with hydrogen peroxide spray to kill any larvae, and repot with clean soil. Cinnamon sprinkled on top of the soil can detract bugs as well in my experience!

Happy Happy Houseplants carries something called death drops that mixes in with your water and kills the larvae than can live in the soil. Also DTI (?) drops that you can get on amazon

Watch Sheffield Made Plants on YouTube he talks about that a lot… basically there are nematodes that will eat the larvae and then just die away when the larvae is gone.

Ok so if you’ve tried every single option in the comments \& on Reddit or any other site like you actually tried EVERYTHING….you can starve your plants of water for 3 months. I did this and WOULD NOT RECCOMEND but it 100% killed all the gnats!

a hydrogen peroxide solution in the soil worked great for me, but your mosquito control agent might just need time to work

Ladybugs eat fungus gnats and all you have to do it put a some into the rooms with issues
