Yes, check for root rot

Could also be under-watering. Depends on the conditions. Allow top layer of soil to dry before watering.

Agreed. Do you let the soil completely dry out? And is it in the soil it came in, or is it in a soil you bought for it? Some soil brands can stay moist for too long, especially for peperomia. Peperomia can be at extra risk of overwatering due to the succulent nature of the leaves. You might want to check the roots for rot if it takes some time for the soil to dry out. I use Espoma’s Organic All-Purpose Soil for all my peperomia. The other possibility is temperature, humidity, and sunlight. If the plant is placed near a frequently opened window or door, or doesn’t have anything increasing the humidity for it, that could also lead to leaf droop. Peperomia also do well in low-light conditions, but if it’s in a north window, or a window with the least sunlight coming in every day, you might want to move it to an east or west window, or a window that isn’t the south window, that gets the most sun in a day, but gets an even amount of sunlight throughout the day (that might sound a bit confusing, so perhaps look up how to find what windows in your house are north and south, and that’ll help you figure out where to place the plant). If you have it indoor and wish to increase the humidity, place it where it isn’t near any drafts or AC vents, with a couple of other plants, and you can either try a humidity tray or placing a humidifier near the space. Hope this helps!
