Hey everyone! My sister got this young monstera the other day ago and he isn't in good condition. Several leaves were removed and the others aren't looking so good either. We're pretty sure it's mold and I just wanted to get anyone's opinion on it

The substrate looks quite dense, maybe try re potting into a much airier/chunkier mix, give the roots a check over too 😊 to make sure there isn't any rot present, if so, cut of the black/rotten roots, treat with hydrogen peroxide and repot, when I acquired mine it was in a very dense mix and very unhappy, but re potted and a bit of tlc and he's happy 😊
