# HELP ME! My umbrella tree plant is on it’s 3rd attempt at growing a…

HELP ME! My umbrella tree plant is on it’s 3rd attempt at growing a new leaf. You can see in the picture that the first attempt died and fell off and I cut that spot. The 2nd one did good for a few days and now the base of it is brown and it’s gonna fall off like the first one did. There’s another one trying to grow. How do I make sure it doesn’t end up dying too?

Sometimes my plants struggle with new growth when they need to be fertilized. I also wonder when the last time you reported is, sometimes growth plateaus when it's run out of space. Not sure if either of those are the problem but those are my thoughts I guess.

Thank you! I could try repotting soon, maybe that would help!

They do like to be snug in their pots. Also, overwatering could be an issue. I let mine pretty much completely dry out before watering.
