This is my marigold plant and I can’t tell what’s wrong with her! Is it too much sun, water, wrong soil? I’m very new to plants and heard this one was easy :(

First thing I noticed is that the old flowers need to be removed. Is it getting full sun? Did you repot them recently? Have you fertilized them?

it was getting full sun but then it started to die so i moved it to where it would get partial sun. I repotted it when i bought it about two weeks ago. And I mixed some fertilizer into the soil when i repotted it. Thank you so much for helping by the way!

Marigolds need full sun. They also need drainage. Does the pot have drainage? It also looks pretty dry.

No problem! I have loved these flowers since kindergarten when we grew them from seed in class.
They are most likely recovering from the repot because they have sensitive roots. It’s actually been easier for me to grow them from seed. If you can put them in a spot that gets more morning sun that should help and don’t let the soil dry out completely before watering. Then let Mother Nature do the rest 😊 and be patient cause they will recover. Also be sure to snip off the dead flowers because it will stimulate them to keep blooming all summer.
I usually give them some tomato fertilizer but any blooming plant fertilizer is good. They protect tomatoes and peppers from bugs in the garden so they make great companions. I hope this helps you I’m happy to help

It does and I think it was just when I took the photo but she’s getting plenty of water!
