Could anyone tell me what this is on my Jade? My grandma had this plant for years and I’m taking care of it for her now that she’s in a nursing home and I really do not want to be killing it somehow 😣

I found this on Reddit hope it helps.

Its mildew/mold, which means you have too much moisture in the air. Some say you can just wipe it off with an alcohol/water dilution. If you do that, I recommend to also treat it with Neem oil spray.

Personally, I would immediately remove any foliage and throw it out. Keep an eye on it and if it keeps getting worst you'll need to repot it in fresh soil and clea pot after a more stringent cleaning/cutting.

Jade is really hardy. You should be able to save the plant... maybe not all of it though lol.

Thank you both!!! I think I need to move it from my plant room, the rest love humidity- I didn’t realize it was harming my Jade. Getting fungicide today and hoping it turns around!
