# Hello 🤍! I’m wondering if someone can help me figure out what’s…

Hello 🤍! I’m wondering if someone can help me figure out what’s happening to my peace lily! I’ve had it in this jar for years, and it’s been fine living in water. Just recently a lot of its leaves turned yellow and I had to cut them off. And now two of them have these little black/brown dots/streaks on the leaves. Does anyone know what’s happening? Or if it’s possible to save it?

i think it’s because the water isn’t giving it enough nutrients, i suggest giving it some fertilizer. i have slow release pebble fertilizer in the water for my plants

Are you fertilizing? Since water has no nutrition

I haven’t, but I’m going to try that! Thank you! 💚

Plenty of roots. Why not pot it up and see what happens. And are you sure that’s a peace lily?

I should try that! Yes, years ago my mom and I bought this peace lily and tried splitting it. But most of the plant got root rot, so I took what was left over and added it into water! I’ll definitely try placing it back in a pot to see how it reacts. Thank you!!
