# I am very new to the plant community, and I got this pothos as one of…

I am very new to the plant community, and I got this pothos as one of my first plants a few weeks ago. I noticed these brown spots on a few of the leaves, and now almost every leaf has at least one brown spot on it. After hours of research, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a problem from over watering. But my question is if there if any saving my plant at this point? If I have to cut off every leaf that has brown spots I won’t have any plant left :(

Don’t worry you don’t need to cut every leaf off just make sure that you are only watering when the top 2-3 inches of soil is dry with pothos they will usually tell you when they need water aswell because their leaves will droop if there’s any more problems with it then I would take the plant out of the pot and check the roots to make sure there is no rot

pothos are VERY easy, hardy, forgiving plants! I water mine when most of the soil is 100% dry. I use a chopstick (like a cake-test) to check. they’re very resilient but err on the underwatering side. they’ll be fine!
