My jade has been with me for 3 years but has started developing dried dark leaves, and I have no idea why. I water regularly, she’s getting good light, and I fertilize too (as often as Planta suggests). Time for one size up. Do those brown spots look mushy gray/brown before they dry up? My African Mask was getting soft gray/brown spots before that part of the leaf died/turned brown. I started letting it dry out more and it hasn't happened again. I thought I was under watering, but instead I was over watering. #### Adian Rankin replied on 2025-09-05 Yes, especially if its really root bound. It will collect water. #### sareeta replied on 2025-09-09 Oh interesting, I haven’t noticed a mushy or soft quality!
