# In need of some desperate help! My Cactus Craig was totally thriving…

_Publicado por London Cravener 🪴 el 2025-04-14_

In need of some desperate help! My Cactus Craig was totally thriving for the first few months of living with me. I had him by a nice window with lots of light and didn’t water him for months. He was thriving. Then finally gave him a water at about three months of having him and he seemed just fine. Unfortunately I left the window open 2 nights in a row (just not thinking 😭) and I’m pretty sure I gave him a cold shock! I’ve moved him away from it now in hopes he will recover but nothing is working. Please help me. Craig is not doing well and any tips are much appreciated!!

How cold was it outside?

I’m not entirely sure. It’s been in the 40s at night around here so pretty cold.

If it is sunburn it would be dry or crispy. Overwatering would result in soft areas. Fungal problems will also show soft spots. Sudden temp changes cause stress resulting in these dark areas also. I think you can only wait and see unless it spreads.

I never even considered sunburning but the symptoms seem to match up. Thank you for the help!
