Hi there! First sign of growth since adopting my Anthurium Pterodactyl! Is this a leaf or a flower? And if it is a flower, would you recommend cutting it to promote growth for the foliage?

Looks like a flower to me. You can remove it if you want more growth.

As a side note, it could just be the lighting, but it looks really yellow for an anthurium. Could be normal, or could be too much/little water or fertilizer etc. Just thought I’d mention it.

Thank you! I think I’ll definitely cut it. And I think it is the lighting. I’ve only had her about a month. No fertilizer applied yet by me. I think I will lay off until spring.
