Help!! I just noticed a mealy bug infestation on several plants. I haven’t brought any new plants into my collection. How did they even start?! I’ve isolated and sprayed with a diluted mixture of water and neem oil. I’m baffled as to how I even got them. Can a ping get them? I had one in the middle of all the ones affected. I can’t spray the ping…can I?I don’t see any on her.

Pest maintenance is just part of the plant person game. Mealybugs can come inside many different ways. I have found that the Castile soap bath and rubbing alcohol Q-tip method to be more effective than neem. As far as the ping goes… I’m not sure, def don’t spray it though!

Thank you! I did the QTip and alcohol as well. I didn’t see any actively moving mealy bugs but found a few of the white cotton fluff spots on the stems. I will give the Castile soap bath a try too.
