# Bought this string of hearts yesterday and it’s an absolute disaster.…

_Pubblicato da suddenlyaplantperson il 2024-12-23_

Bought this string of hearts yesterday and it’s an absolute disaster. It’s beautiful, but still a disaster. I’ve had the variegated version for a while and managed to untangle the whole thing… but this is on a different level. I got down to the roots and discovered it was multiple string of hearts plants and all of their roots were tangled as well. I gave it a root washing with distilled water and tried to gently do what I could without damaging everything. After 3 hours I’m giving up. This is what it looks like now. Is there anything I can do? Anyone at a plant store who helps people with this? Any tools designed to detangle these things? Or should I just admit defeat 😭

I wouldn’t give up. I bet if you try looking online something will show up to help you. I wish I could tell you more, but good luck!

They are a horrendous pain. And variegated are so much easier!!! I think its the slightly thicker leaves. I use a chopstick to help me unwind them. But sometimes I just get mad and chop\&prop a section.
