Do you have drainage holes in that pot? #### Pchee svarede den 2024-02-21 Yes there are drainage holes! I i just watered it in the latter photo so maybe that’s why. I’m very carful to not overwater my plants ### ABucketOfPlants kommenterede den 2024-02-21 It could be because of low light levels. Although like Alysia said it might be overwatered as well. Are the leaves soggy/have droplets of water that seemingly pop out from the leaves? Do you water even if the top inches of soil are still wet? Does the pot have drainage holes? If so you’re probably overwatering it. #### Pchee svarede den 2024-02-21 No! It looks worse now than when you bought it. If it were me, I’d have left it in the nursery pot and put the nursery pot in a cache pot. If I were you, I’d repot it into a pot with drain holes and check the roots. If there’s any slimy rotten roots remove them and spray them with diluted hydrogen peroxide and replant in clean soil. Never reuse soil. It spreads pathogens to other plants and root rot will spread to other plants introduced into contaminated soil. I don’t know why the leaves are going dark though. Maybe just because it’s sick? 🤷‍♀️ #### Pchee svarede den 2024-02-21 There are drainage holes in the pot. I actually repotted recently. Do you think it needs to be closer? #### Bella56 svarede den 2024-02-21 Definitely move it closer to the window or you could get a small grow light. Looks as though not enough light, not enough humidity, and either under or over watering ### Pchee kommenterede den 2024-02-21 It gets sprayed regularly and has a humidifier in the room. I always wait until the soil is completely dry as i’d rather underwater than overwater a plant. I’m thinking it might be the light #### Lana Layne 🌺🪴🪻🌵🌸 svarede den 2024-02-21 I don’t ever mist my plants… I know this app suggests it but it will only cause bacterial and fungal infections if you don’t have VERY GOOD airflow, like a fan. I don’t mist ever. I just use a good humidifier, grow light, \& fan. With that I have zero issues as long as I stay on a watering schedule, not watering if it’s still moist a few inches down #### Pchee svarede den 2024-02-21 I know! I have seriously been conflicted on misting lately. I think im going to stop per what everyone on planta has said! ### Gigglzngreenz kommenterede den 2024-02-21 I have a lot of these heartleaf philos. I always look at the leaves to determine water need. I water when they just start to droop and curl. I don’t think they like being dried completely out. But you’re right. It’s better to do that than overwater. And I have a lot of grow lights on my plants because the light in my home is limited. Once you get this one healthy and it grows a little bit you might try giving it a climbing pole. They like to climb.
