It may be from too much water, or too less- did you move houses? It may be shock from being replanted, or not enough nutrients OR not enough light. I think my fiddle leaf fig is suffering because of not enough light. My fiddle leaf is also 4 years old 😂😅

The real answer is "because it's a ficus and they are fussy like that" BUT Joann is right, any of those things could cause brown spots. My FLF's current brown spots are because it wasn't handled like a delicate crystal vase when brought it into the house 🙄
