You'd need to treat the root rot...

Check the roots to verify if it’s root rot and treat.

The roots are definitely struggling to breathe (ie staying wet too long). The roots may not be rotten yet but they are on that path likely if you don’t switch out the soil and/or reduce the pot size as well as give it more light (dedicated grow light) to increase the plants use of the water you are giving it.

If you have other plants you want to prevent root rot in the future, recommend draining it in the sink when you water. I’ve never had to deal with it since I started! I always put my plants in a plastic container and put it into a glass pot (unless you have terra-cotta which drains easily) the plastic pot can be pulled out, watered, and drained. Which makes it easy to avoid any sort of overwatering and root rotting!
