# Hi, can anyone identify what’s wrong with this plant! It’s a ‘Celosia…

Hi, can anyone identify what’s wrong with this plant! It’s a ‘Celosia red hot topic’. I planted it 3/4 weeks ago.

4th image is when I bought it. 3rd image is just 5 days ago. 1st \& are today - looking very sad.  
It has been especially hot this week, but I’ve watered it more than usual. Not sure if I’m under-watering/over-watering or what! Any help would be great :)

It looks dry. It needs more water on when you are watering. It may also need water more often each week. Fully saturate the soil in the area because the dry soil around it will wick away the water. Try using soaker hoses to conserve water and drip it right around the roots.

Hot temperatures will dry out the soil faster. Work moisture retentive materials into the soil like bark chips, vermiculite and coco coir/chunks. Add mulch 6” deep to slow the soil drying and to keep the roots cooler. 🪴🍀
