Hi everyone! I wanted to get some input as to what’s going on with my Chinese evergreen. I got it about a month ago. As soon as I brought it home, a few leaves turned yellow, one leave it getting brown spots and the new growth is “crunchy” . Any ideas what may be happening?

My best guess is humidity, especially if you are following watering needs and live in a dry climate. You can add a pebble tray under it, add misting to your regimine, or if you can, invest in a humidifier.

Check the soil. Is it wet? Dry?  
If wet, how long has it been that way? If you haven’t watered in awhile and the soil is quite wet, unpot, check roots for rots, clean off any rotten roots and repot in fresh soil.  
If dry, well, I’d say give it a nice soak in a bath.
