# Please help! I got this bamboo a bit ago and put water into it a few…

Please help! I got this bamboo a bit ago and put water into it a few days ago, i think i was silly for that bc i noticed it turning yellow so i emptied the water but the yellow is still progressing?? The leaves at the top are crispy right now too so could it be under watering?? Any advice would be much appreciated thank you! :\]

What is it potted in, soil or just stones to hold the canes in place?

If it’s in stones they normally have their roots submerged with a constant supply of water. Otherwise, the roots will dry out and die

So I should just keep it constantly filled with water and replace it once a week? :0 or should I remove all rocks and just do water? Tysm for your help btw!!

It probably dried out too much or the water turned stagnant. The yellow bits are unfortunately gone.

I received a Lucky Bamboo yrs ago as a gift. I only water with distilled water, and never let it go dry. I’ve lost a branch or 2 along the way, but it’s still alive. 🙃  
Here is a guide I received with mine. Hope it helps. Good luck.
