I had to repot because the soil wouldn't dry, it got root rot again because of that. But the pot does have drainage.

I have several varieties of spider plants in different soil mixes. The oldest ones are in a standard potting mix. What they have in common is they all prefer smaller snug pots and well draining soil. I agree with reducing the pot size if the soil is still causing root rot by taking too long to dry out.

Water when the soil dries out. The plant will look a little limp.

Your variety with thin green sections and larger white sections need more light to help with photosynthesis. Get it within 1 foot of a single plant grow light for 12 hours a day. 🪴🍀

I’ve also got a spider plant I’ve brought indoors for the winter; I tried to mimic an outdoor environment using a light lamp, but my plant got sick and turned yellow like that picture you posted. Try moving your plant further from its light source and see if that helps?

Did you use really chunky soil when you repotted it? I'm assuming you cut off the rotten roots when you repotted as well? Let it dry out before you water it. There shouldn't be any place indoors that is too bright for it. Fertilize every other month in the winter. If the soil still isn't drying out it needs a smaller pot.

I use regular potting soil, and I did cut off the rotten roots. I downsized the pot too.

Pretty much any houseplant is gonna prefer a really chunky soil to just regular stuff. 50/50 regular soil and perlite will work, I add bark to that yet if I have it. Otherwise what you said sounds good. How much light is it getting?

All it gets is artificial light.

Does that mean grow light or just regularindoor lighting? I have quite a few plants living solely on grow lights but idk if a spider plant can make it on just regular lights. I've seen pothos that do so it might be possible. Still, i'd suggest getting a grow light or putting it in a window. That can also help the soil dry out faster.

It was only getting regular indoor light, but I ordered a growlight online and it should be here soon.

A grow light fixture or grow light bulb with full spectrum light is better. Standard house lights don’t provide the wider full spectrum light waves that plants need. Place smaller single plant light within a foot of the plant. 🪴🍀
