Scale or scar?  
Is this some kind of scale/pest or just a scar on the underside of my diffenbachia plant. Pictures are top and backside of the same leaf

They could be mealybugs. Are there a white discharges on the branches? Easily removed with cotton buds soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Make sure you check under all the leaves as well as the tops, stems and inside newly growing leaves.

this looks like a scar to me. scale will scrape off and kind of like…crunch if you smush 🥴

Looks like it got bent or scratched and the plant healed itself. It doesn’t look like pests.

Thank you all! I’ve seen mealy bugs before on other plants, but did not find any on this plant. Thanks again!
