# So I’ve been hit with the little plant bugs, plant fleas? I don’t…

So I’ve been hit with the little plant bugs, plant fleas? I don’t even know what they are really 😂 But I saw someone post about them here and I think people recommended DE, so I was wanting to ask if it mattered what kind? I was looking on Amazon, but there are pest specific ones, or just food grade ones. Does it matter what kind? And I think people said there are little traps you can set on top of your soil too? Does anyone know what they’re called? Any help is appreciated, I’m so sick of these little bugs on all my plants. They don’t seem to be harming them, but it’s gross seeing them all in the soil, makes me feel dirty 😂

Post a picture. They may be fungus gnats if they are fly around and very tiny. Some use the yellow sticky card like fly traps. It kills only the fly adults leaving the eggs, larvae, etc., in the soil. They could be aphids which comes in several colors and breed very quickly. Could be thrips, scales,!mealybugs or spider mites which are common house plants pests.
