# I need some advice on my string of pearls. I can’t seem to get it…

I need some advice on my string of pearls. I can’t seem to get it right. It has been in my window, and on a watering schedule for a bit now. I just moved it under my grow light for 12 hours a day to make sure it was getting enough light, because since I got the light my other plants have been thriving. I’m not sure what to do, but any advice is appreciated! Thank you!!

If you’re following this app’s watering schedule, it’s possible it’s being overwatered. Always always always check your soil first. I use a bamboo skewer, and gently stick it to the bottom of the pot and for this particular plant, if it’s dry I water. The skewer has to be dry though. Hope this helps!

Treat it like a succulent. Lots of light and more infrequent watering. The grow light was a good plan.

I’ve noticed this summer that planta is trying to get me to water everything more than I should. I’m snoozing notifications several times before the soil is actually dry enough to water. I would let your string of pearls dry out more before you water. I just moved mine to a grow light as well and it’s doing much better now
