# Hi, I'm new to plant care and I'm hoping someone could help me with…

Hi, I'm new to plant care and I'm hoping someone could help me with this. A few of the leaves on my jade plant have this texture on them, and I found two thrips on the plant which I removed. I've recently lost a couple of plants to thrips but I don't know if they present differently on this type of leaf. Is this texture as a result of thrips or could it be something else? I would be gutted to lose this plant too so any help is appreciated!

That looks more like a sunburn from the leaves getting wet and put out in direct or bright indoor light, not a sign on pests. Hope this helps!

Sunburn. This is Abigail. She is doing much better now. New growth looks healthy and lovely.
