this is my second time trying string of pearls and once again they’re going downhill quick 🥲 it’s sitting right under and off to the side of a grow light, i watered once a week when the soil felt really dry..i’m not sure where to go from here 😣

Were you checking to see if the soil was bone dry to the very bottom of the pot? It looks and sounds like it’s overwatered.

you’re overwatering it, only water the string of pearls when the pearls themselves begin to prune.

I’d repot it in a different soil mix, I’ve got my third string of pearls (literally only four strands I saved from my last one) in a very chunky mix (70% perlite and 30% cactus/succulent soil), I water it about every two weeks, I wouldn’t wait till the pearls prune though I’ve done that and it just makes the whole stem die off without salvaging, just water when you see the windows start to close, also what I learned from a user on here (Tantaliza I think) is that she keeps hers under a grow light and mists it twice a day, hers is so full and beautiful and long, I’ve been keeping mine directly in an east facing window and it gets direct sunlight and I mist it twice a day too and honestly it hasn’t looked happier
