# I got this Monstera Deliciosa yesterday at my local plant store. When…

_Posted by 🪴❤️Enzo❤️🪴 on 2024-07-08_

I got this Monstera Deliciosa yesterday at my local plant store. When I got it some of the leaves were folded so I assumed it just needed some water. I gave it a good drink and put it in my window. It has been about 24 hours now and the leaves have not changed. I’m thinking maybe it needs a bigger pot? It’s currently still in its 4” nursery pot. Thanks in advance!

It should be fine, that is how the leaves grow, they will unfurl in time, you might can help them with a warm cloth

Okay, I will try that. I appreciate it!

Folding leaves are different from a new leaf unfurling. No warm towels needed for folded leaves.

I would give it time to adjust to your home environment. Then next check the roots - Monstera like to be root bound but that pot looks a little small. If it’s more than 50% roots to soil - I’d repot it.
