I’ve this Tonto crapemertyle plant in a 3 gallon pot. I purchased this 7 days ago and planing to install in my backyard where it will get 6+hours sun. But the plant isn’t looking healthy since last few days. Kindly let me know how to take care of the plant .

It looks dry. Check the soil to see if 2 inches deep is dry. Then, water. It’s adjusting to the new location.

Prep the new spot to quickly plant it. Prep means to clear out a hole twice as wide as the diameter of the pot. Add soil amendments, if needed, such as sand if you have clay soil. I buy bags of garden soil to ensure the new roots will do well. I also add perlite, vermiculite, if needed, and add mulch around the base to block weeds and keep in moisture. Be sure to trim in early spring to remove the tiny twigs at the bottom. Trim the extra long branches. 🍀🪴

Thank you so much for the details. I’ll do as you suggest, already I moved this to a shaded area where it will get only morning sun.

They like full sun when you are ready to plant it. You can fertilize with Osmocote fertilizer beads before winter to help build the roots. The beads lasts about 8 months. I fertilize with cow manure around the base (top dressing) in spring and add more mulch to cover it. This organic fertilizer helps blooms.
