# Hi there! I cannot figure out what this guy needs! Actually, ever…

Hi there!

I cannot figure out what this guy needs!  
Actually, ever since I was gifted this plant he hasn’t been happy😐.  
I have repotted him in a bigger pot about a month ago, and I don’t feel I over water.. however the sunlight maybe be an issue?

As soon as new leaves sprout, other leaves start to brown!  
Please help, what could be the problem?

Definitely looks like a watering issue of some sort. Your soil looks like it might not have enough drainage? I’d check the roots for rot really quick and add some perlite to the soil.

Sounds like root rot. Take him out, clean off his roots and remove any mushy stinky roots. Add perlite or even some rocks to your soil to help with drainage and make sure your pot has drainage. Remove all the yellow leaves too to help promote growth

Ok thank you, I will do this  
Some of the yellow leafs are still super intact to the healthy ones! Is there a good way to remove them?

Disinfect some scissors or shears and just clip some of the more yellow ones. You don’t have to cut them all off just the ones that are the worst of the bunch! :)
