# Is this physical damage or something about my conditions? This leaf…

Is this physical damage or something about my conditions? This leaf started to unfurl today only to reveal it snapped at the stem :(

My room stays at 55-60% humidity and this plants about a foot away from a grow light, chunky soil watered roughly every 6 days or when mostly dried out. Philodendron Melanochrysum

I find quite a few of my philo’s get “stuck”. Only philodendrons! I try and place them close to my humidifier and give it a bit more light when I start to see new growth. Sometimes I’ll try to help with a q-tip if I see that stem is really really bending and looks like it’ll snap!

Yes make sure it’s enough moisture or spritz it. They get stuck if it too dry
